why are so many web sites weird?

hi all

just thought i'd add a quick note. i've spent the last few days trolling around the web looking airline job sites so i could build up my list. i don't understand why they are so awful! i've found airlines with sites that just aren't working, broken links, dead ends, confusing stuff, and designed by geeks. why can't they be ok for normal people to use? why doesn't someone at the airlines notice that they are so awful?
